LLOYD VICTOR HANCOCK, 73, of Memphis, retired executive vice president of Ely & Walker Wholesale Dry Goods Warehouse and Distribution Center in Whitehaven, died Friday at Bright Glade Convalescent Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Germantown Presbyterian Church with burial in Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. He was a former member and elder at Whitehaven Presbyterian Church. He was president of Phi Theta Kappa Honorary Scholastic Society and Delta Omega Sigma fraternity. He was a captain in the ROTC and played saxophone and clarinet in the band and orchestra at Arkansas State University. He was director of the dance band ''The Statesmen'' and played with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. He was assistant auditor of Memphis Federal Reserve Bank and industrial director of the Memphis Chamber of Commerce. He was an Army major during World War II and received the Bronze Star and five battle stars. Hancock, the husband of Marjorie Tomlin Hancock, also leaves two sons, Cary Victor Hancock and Douglas Vance Hancock, both of Memphis, and two grandchildren. The family requests any memorials be sent to Germantown Presbyterian Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
