Dollie Jane Goodson was the daughter of Ervin Goodson and Nancy VanHoosier of Crawford Co, IN. Her first husband was William Joseph Phillips. After his death from typhoid fever in 1899, she remarried Simon Wilhite in 1901.

Mrs. Dollie J. Wilhite, 76, passed away at her home some four miles south of the city on highway 41 about 1:30 PM Thursday. She had been in failing health for several months.
Mrs. Wilhite had lived in Gibson county her entire lifetime, being born in the Bethlehem church community on August 30, 1874.
Survivors include the husband, Simon; two daughters, Mrs. Clark Frederick and Mrs. Argle Bradshaw, both of Princeton; a son, Charles A. Phillips, Sr. of Princeton; a brother, Frank Goodson of Owensville; a sister, Mrs. Anna Stewart of Ft. Branch; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Staurday at 2PM at the Colvin and Son Chapel with Rev. A. W. Weir and Rev. Guthrie Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill cemetery at Fort Branch.
Mrs. Wilhite is at the Colvin and Son funeral home where friends may call.
