Three Victims Of Tuberculosis In Five Weeks
Third son of H.W.Phillips is Called Saturday Afternoon-Funeral at Enon Church
Tuberculosis has claimed three victims in the last five weeks in the family of H. W. Phillips, living south of this city. The three were brothers--Perry Phillips, Alex Phillips, and Richard W. Phillips, who resided at 727 south Race street and whose death occurred at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
Perry Phillips died about five weeks ago and three weeks later his brother, Alex Phillips, succumbed to the same disease. At the time of the latter's death, Richard Phillips was suffering with an attack of the grip, which developed into lung trouble causing his death Saturday.
Richard was thirty years of age and was formerly employed by the Greer-Wilkinson company. Of the immediate family he leaves a wife, a son and daughter. His father and mother, three sisters and two brothers also survive.
The funeral was held at Enon church at 2 o'clock this afternoon and the interment was in the Genung cemetery, north of Fort Branch.
