Ormel was the daughter of Richard William Phillips and Nellie Yeager, granddaughter of William and Margery Phillips.
She married Lester Phillips in 1924.

Ormel Y. Phillips
Princeton - Ormel Y. Phillips, 95, died Sunday, Jan. 31 at 4:55 a.m. at Holiday Manor Nursing Home in Princeton. Mrs. Phillips was born July 5, 1903 in Princeton to William and Nellie (Yeager) Phillips. She was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church and a former member of the Muer Maid Class of the Church and the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Phillips in 1985. Survivors include one son, Walter Phillips of Princeton; two daughters, Norma Jean Wilhite of Melbourne, Fla,, and Winnie Oing of Fort Branch; nine grandchildren, Keith Phillips of Evansville, Lynn Westlund of Princeton, Karin Brockert of Alpharetta, Ga., Deb Oing of Warwick, R.I., Randy Oing of Uniontown, Oh., Gayle Fair of Brownsburg, Ind., Phil Wilhite and Paul Wilhite, both of South Daytona, Fla., and Bob Wilhite of Melbourne, Fla.; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday Feb 2 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillside United Methodist Church Missions Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jarmon Perkins officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.
