A native of Foster, Alabama and a long time resident of Dayton.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII and retired from Frigidaire.
Charlie lived a faithful life and loved to talk about the Bible and his family, and was a founding member of St. James A.M.E. Church.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Hattie Beal and many other relatives.
Survivors include his nephew, Charles (Jane) Beal sister-in-law, Betty (Charles) Howard a host of great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. James A.M.E. Church, 202 Strand Ave. Rev. James E. Watkins Jr. officiating.
Interment West Memory Gardens.
Visitation 9 am Saturday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
