County Native Dies at Sunbury
Mrs. Stella Rae Kahler, resident of Sunbury for the past two years and a native of Union county, passed away at the Mary M. Packer hospital Wednesday morning at 1:45 o'clock following an operation. Illness was caused by a complication of diseases.
She was aged 41 years, 8 months and 2 days and was born in Lewis township, Union county, the daughter of John Mitchell, of White Springs and Mrs. Anna Kahler, of Millmont. Her husband, Charles Kahler, also survives to mourn her loss.
She was a member of the Millmont Methodist Episcopal church.
Surviving besides the parents and her husband is the one daughter, Mrs. Esther Runkle, of Mifflinburg. A brother, George Mitchell, of Lewis township; a step-brother, McLain Mitchell, of Centerville, and a step-sister, Iva Mitchell,l of Sunbury, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Strunk funeral parlors in Mifflinburg and will be strictly private. Interment will be made in the cemetery at Swengle.
