Rena Ruth Powell was one of 9 children born to Nathaniel "Nathan" Powell and Martha Alice Gibson Powell.
Selected portions of her obituary, from The Linn County Leader, 1923:
... when quite young she was converted and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Magnolia, and lived a consistent Christian live until the time of her death.
... She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, two children, her five brothers and three sisters ...
In the passing of Rena Moore the community loses a good woman; the church a faithful member; and the home a loving wife and mother.
"We loved her, yes, we loved her,
But angels loved her more;
And sweetly they have called her,
To yonder shining shore.
The golden gates were opened,
A gentle voice said come,
And with farewells unspoken,
She calmly entered home."
