Mr. Comer 83 of Manchester, TN. passed away at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
He was a Veteran of the United Sates Army. Mr. Comer was the former owner of the Comer Texaco Service Station in Manchester, TN. and later worked in Sales and Service at Milton Jones Tire and Appliance until his "retirement" at the age of 65. He went back to work at the age of 80 at the Manchester Wal-Mart where he most recently served as the "Greeter".
He was always active in various community sports programs for the local youth, including being one of the founders of Manchester Little League Baseball and assisting with the Coffee County Central High School Football Team.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Sportsman and Businessmen's Charitable Organization.
Mr. Comer was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manchester, TN.

His parents: The late Joe M. Comer and Zela Myers Comer.
His daughter: Pamela Jane Comer.
His sisters: Lois Comer Schrecengost, Elizabeth Comer Huvar, and Faye Comer Marcrom.
His brothers: Newell Comer and James Logan Comer.

His loving wife of 58 years, Helen Stewart Comer of Manchester, TN.
Daughter: Cindy Comer Reynolds (Harry Craze) Manchester, TN.
Son: Skipper C. Comer (Deanna) Hillsboro, TN.
Sisters: Joan Comer Jones, Nashville, TN. Mary Edith Comer Womack, Texas. Gladys Comer Dickinson, Texas. Carolyn Comer Womack, Morrison, TN.
