Mrs. Lydia Kennedy, of this city, expired at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Hopper, at Peru, Wednesday night after a long illness of cancer of the stomach, with which she has been afflicted for many months.
The deceased is survived by four children, Ed Kennedy, of this city; Maurice Kennedy, Peoria; Mrs. W. H. Hopper, Peru, and Mrs. James Huddleston of Hot Springs, Ark. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Mikesell, of Frankton; Mrs. Della Anderson, Of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. J. B. Tyner, of Logansport. Ed Kennedy, of this city, left for Peru this morning.
Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru, Miami Co., Ind.
Lydia was the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Hartsell) Forst. She married William H Kennedy on January 19, 1873.
