-In Memory of John Patterson-
On Friday night,April 18th,2008 John passed away after several years of battling health problems. Many people know John Patterson as a advisor for the Lebanon People First Chapter or as Bobby O'Dell's supporter. For those of you that don't know John,he was a huge advocate in the disability field. He was a man who believed in people with disabilities and showed it in many ways.John supported Bobby for many years on the Missouri Planning Council for Developmental Disabilities and other committees by driving him to meeting and assisting him in his role as a member and a chair.John was alway there for his local members and for the statewide People First organization.John was usually sitting silently in the background with his arms crossed, but if he saw a problem or he felt that people with disabilities neeed their voice heard.he would alway speak up. John touched many lives and will greatly missed by the self-advocacy movement in Missouri.
