|Death: ||Jan., 2011|
Jada LeBron, an American Bulldog, was shot three times and died two hours later at the vet's office, due to her injuries.
The individual responsible for her death was her family's next door neighbor. The reason? He did not like the dogs barking and had been feuding with Jada's family since 2007. The gun packing neighbor was charged with animal cruelty but not arrested. He is described as full of hate and erratic.
Jada is described by people who knew her as a very loving family dog. She only went out a couple times a day and never bothered anyone but the man who killed her. Jada's family miss her especially the two little LeBron children who were devastated when they found Jada bleeding and dying of her injuries. One of them asked his preschool teacher why do people shoot dogs? A very good question indeed and one a child should never have to ask.

Hello everyone and thank you for the kind postings. My name is John LeBron and I am the man whose dog was killed. I first want to say that I hold no hate toward Mr. Curry. I know that for someone to act out like that he must have been under extreme stress and pressure, although I believe he could of handled it in a better way. I also know that we all have acted in ways, in the past, that we are not proud of. Jada (our dog) was like one of our kids and it saddens us very much to see her go. My two young sons cried and did not really understand why Jada was no longer with us. I told them that she was with God now and that made things a little easier for them. Mr. Curry I believe in our legal system because I have went through it and I know that the judges and our peers are intelligent people who I believe, really care and know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, the truth and lies. I also know that if I were to judge you and hold on to the same hate and/or
resentment that caused you to act in such a way that my actions would be no different than the way you have acted. I would be drinking the same poison that you did that night. I will leave all of this in the hands of God and our legal system to decide. I wish you well Mr. Curry and I hope that some day you will see that I am not your enemy and neither my family nor I wish you any harm. I have met your wife and I know she is a caring sweet lady and I am sorry for any embarrassment this may have caused you Mrs. Curry. All I want is to live in peace with my family and who knows maybe someday we can even be friends.
P.S. There is a really good book that has taught me a lot about life called a Course in Miracles. I pray some day this book will find you and bring you peace.
Thank You to Bernice for sponsoring this memorial.
