Homer, 72, died at 10:30 a.m., on a residential street where he had stopped to raise the hood of his automobile to find out why it was not running properly. Dr. Donald Fox, Mercer County coroner, attributed death to a heart attack.
He was a son of Daniel and Etta (Young) Brookhart.
On Dec 24, 1917, he married Lydia Good, who survived him.
Also surviving were two sons, Stanley, 1756 Breese Rd., and Carl, 4429 S. Dixie, both Lima; five daughters, Mrs. Raymond Rice, Lima, Mrs. Berdell Welker, St. Marys, Mrs. William Buck and Mrs. Carl Hone, both Celina, and Mrs. Lowell Ferner, Portland, IN; three brothers, Dean and Lawrence, both Celina, and Clark, Piqua; two sisters, Mrs. Everett Barker and Mrs. Frank Shook, both Celina; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Donald.
Services were held at Grace Missionary Church, of which, he was a member.
