Tom VanNess, 20, 316 Sixth St., died Friday at 9:05 a.m. in Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient seven weeks. Mr. VanNess was a student at Vanguard Technical Institute.
Mr. VanNess was born March 22, 1952 in Fort Myers, FL but moved to Fremont shortly after birth with his parents, Emmett and Lucille Price VanNess.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jacqueline Suggen, whom he married December 14, 1970; his mother, Mrs. Lucille VanNess, Fremont; one sister Mrs. Janet Swedersky, Fremont, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Price, Hessville. His father Emmett died November 15, 1971.
Friends may call at the Weller-Wonderly Funeral home beginning Saturday at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the mortuary with the Rev. John Mittermaier officiating. Burial at Four Mile House Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Weickert, Gary Trusty, The Rev. Carl Thomas and Dana Howey. Honorary bearers were Richard Swedersky and Robert Price.
