Donald McClellan Forsyth, age 67, of Cedar Point, died Friday, July 18, 2008, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Don was a graduate of Gordon Military College in Gordon, Ga. He loved to fish and was a retired commercial fisherman who enjoyed fishing around the world, including the United States, Africa and Mexico. He also worked as Fleet Manager for Singleton Shrimp Company in Key West, Fla., for many years.

After his retirement he worked at the McIntosh Sheriff's Department where he visited schools and counseled the children about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Most recently, he worked as chief engineer on the Emerald Princess until his retirement due to medical reasons.

A graveside service was held at 11 am. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at St. Andrew's Cemetery in Darien, with Pastor Danny Grace and Father Cletus Pifher officiating.

He was survived by: one daughter: Mary Alice Forsyth/Thomas-Bud
and two sons: John C Forsyth; Donald R Forsyth; and a step-daughter:
