Obit:
Mrs. Bertha Poch Thrun , widow of the late Herman Thrun, died at the home of her son, John A. Thrun, 217 Henry St., Sunday morning.
She was born in Germany on Feb. 20, 1859. She came to America 49 years ago and made her home in Pingree Grove until 10 years ago, when she came to Elgin.
Mrs. Thrun was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pingree Grove, for 49 years, and was also a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of that church.
Surviving her are eight children, Charles Thrun of Pingree Grove; Gustave of Canada; Otto, John and Fred, Mrs. Tillie Stoell, Mres. Helen Horn, and Mrs. Elsie Wiese of Elgin; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers in Germany; a sister in Canada, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Hannah Braun of Joliet.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 (D.S.T.) from Walt-Ross-Allanson funeral church and at 3 from St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran church of Pingree Grove with the Rev. Martin Behling officiating. Interment will be in Washington cemetery at McQueen Station. Friends may call at the chapel.
