William Nottage-Tacey wrote on his Facebook Wall on August 20, 2012.
"Yesterday, I had the honor and privilege of conducting the funeral services for one of Hastings College's legendary professors and deans. As I reflect further about those extraordinary years in college, what comes to mind most, is the passion our prof's had for their noble profession and for opening young people's minds to the genuine joys of exercising the human intellect while engaging the great issues of the day with passion and purpose. Dr. Arthur Langvardt was a gentleman giant in this regard as were so many of his colleagues. Such rich blessings."
