Mrs. Nancy Basinger
RINGGOLD, Aug. 9 (Special) - Mrs. Nancy Paralee Basinger, 63, died unexpectedly at her home near Castor about 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
A native of Ashland, she was a lifelong resident of the Castor area.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Nelson and the Rev. James Ganey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home of Ringgold.
Survivors include one son, William E. Basinger of Shreveport; five daughters, Mrs. Charlie Guin and Mrs. W. T. Smith, both of Castor, Mrs. J. W. Dawsey of Lake Charles, Mrs. Dave Sullivan of Ashland, and Mrs. A. C. Robinette of Shreveport; five half-sisters, Mrs. Ruth Weaver, Mrs. May McCain, Mrs. Marie Fair, and Miss Annie Rigdon, all of Ashland, and Mrs. Glennie Smelley of Hodge; six brothers, G. T., Henry, Ellis and Lee Rigdon, all of Ashland, Orie Rigdon of Port Arthur, Tex., and Melton Rigdon of Natchitoches; 24 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
