In Memory of Little Ray Dell Hanley
The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Hanley was buried at White Church cemetery Sunday afternoon, July 28, 1935. After some six weeks illness, little Ray Dell passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guthrie Richie in Merkel where he was taken two weeks before to be near the doctor.
Little Ray Dell Hanley was born January 11, 1934, and departed this life at 8 a.m. on July 28, 1935. He took whooping cough about six weeks previously, and a bad stomach trouble followed, which he was unable to overcome. He is survived by his parents, a twin brother, Roy, and two other small brothers.
We can say to the bereaved family, "Do not grieve for Ray; he is safe in the arms of Jesus. Even though there is a vacancy in the home, we would not call him back here to suffer on through the years. But let him be a beckoning light to call us to come on and share the heavenly home with him."
Rev. Arthur Kendall of Abilene conducted the services at White Church at 5 p.m. Sunday.
