Charles E. Cassidy Succumbs at Home
Resident of Homer Community is Dead
Charles E. Cassidy, 83, died at his home north of Homer at 8:35 p.m. Saturday after an illness of two years.
The son of James and Elizabeth Howe Cassidy, he was born April 27, 1861 on the farm where he died. He was married to Elizabeth Hodge. Mrs. Cassidy's death occurred several years ago. Mr. Cassidy was a member of the Homer C. U. Church.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Carl Dearinger [Lavonne], Arlington and Ova Cassidy, north of Homer; five grandchildren; and one brother, Alba Cassidy, of Homer. [Predeceased is son Oren Cassidy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Homer C.U. Church with the Rev. George W. Winfrey, of Alexandria, officiating.
Burial will be in East Hill cemetery at Rushville in charge of D. E. Carmony. Friends may call at the Cassidy home.
