Corp David Charles Armstrong
Birth: Jun. 1, 1985
Galion
Crawford County
Ohio, USA
Death: Feb. 1, 2007
Baghdad, Iraq

Cpl. Armstrong moved to Zanesville, Ohio with his parents when he was a preschooler and graduated from Maysville High School in 2003 where he played football and baseball in high school, had a black belt in karate and loved to ride motorcycles and four-wheelers. He entered the Army about a year later because it promised the education he needed to go into law enforcement. He loved animals, including his dogs Bo, Razor and Gage, and wanted to be a law enforcement canine handler. He loved baseball, football, motorcross riding and racing and most recently his 2001 black Mustang GT. David joined the U.S. Army March 25, 2005, after six months of training for Advanced Individual Training for Military Police. He was preceded in death by Pfc. Tyler Butler, who died with David on the same day who will always be remembered by the Armstrong family. David was posthumously promoted to Corporal. He was 21.
