Brown – James "Jim" Edward Brown, age 65, of Starke, FL passed away on Monday, December 13, 2010. He was born in Millcreek, OK to the late James Edward Brown and Verna Brown. Jim, as he was known to his friends, loved automobiles, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his sons Jimmy Brown, Jr. and Jeffery Lynn Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Flora Alice Brown of Starke, FL; children: Susan Jackson and Sarah Ballinger both of Starke, Fl and Kathie (Ronnie) Lewis of Gainesville, FL; his brother: Rusty Douglas of Durant, OK; and one sister, Cindy Brown of Salt Lake City, UT; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Archie Tanner Funeral Services at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Spratlin officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
