Leron A. Callaway of Southport died Sept. 10 at his residence.
He was a retired plant equipment operator with Gulf Power Company and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was born in Malone and had resided in this area since 1970. He was a member of the Lynn Haven Mineral and Gem Club. He owned and operated Cal's Repair Shop in Southport for many years.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Callaway Godwin in 1980.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Berdena Callaway of Southport, two daughters, Mary Callaway DeBorde of Johnson City, Tenn., and Sheryl A. Callaway of Bonifay; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sept. 12 at Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel in Lynn Haven.
