Levi Bubb
Spring Grove – Levi Bubb, 72, husband of Mrs. Gertie Glatfelter Bubb, died at 4:50 a.m. yesterday at his residence, 123 South East Street, following an illness of several weeks. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bubb, Brillhart Station.
Besides his wife, Mr. Bubb leaves a brother, Daniel Bubb, York; two sisters, Mrs. Milton Messersmith, Brillhart Station, and Mrs. Sarah Almoney, New Freedom, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bubb was a retired employee of the P. H. Glatfelter Company, where he had been employed for many years, and is a member of the firm’s Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zion (Shaffer’s) Union Church, Codorus Township, and of the Friendship Hose Company, here.
Private funeral services will be held at the late home at 2 p.m. Saturday. His pastor, Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, will officiate. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining Shaffer’s Union Church. The arrangements are being handled by the Sauter Funeral Home, this place.
