Earl H. Archer, III, 65, Black Diamond, Lecanto, died suddenly Feb. 27, 2009. A native of Birmingham, AL., he was born Aug 10, 1943, to the late Earl and Juanita Archer Jr., and came to Citrus County in 1963, where he attended Citrus High School. Mr. Archer was an attorney at law and practiced in Inverness and several communities in addition to serving as manager and investment partner in several business interests.
Earl was a graduate of the University of South Florida, earned his law degree from Stetson University, and his LLM in taxation from the University of Florida. He enjoyed sailing, scuba diving, and flying his airplanes, having owned three of them. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Kelly Archer; his sister, Becky Rigel and her husband, Lou; his nephew, Ryan Rigel and his wife, Becky. Funeral services will be conducted from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Black Diamond Foundation, 2600 W. Black Diamond Cir., Lecanto, FL 34461.
