Rites held for Mrs. Armstrong

PRENTISS - Servces were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Katie Waltman Armstrong, 78, who died Tuesday morning at Rankin County Hospital in Brandon where she had been a patient for five weeks. Rev. S. A. Adkins officiated and interment follwed in the Old Silver Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Armstrong was a native and lifelong resident of the New Hebron area and was a member of Old Silver Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Armstrong and Percy Armstrong, both of Jackson; three daughters, Mrs. R. B. Nations of Jackson, Mrs. T. M. Martin of Biloxi and Mrs. Mamie Thurman of New Hebron; two sister, Mrs. Mattie Jewel Sharp of New Hebron and Mrs. Bessie Smith of Jayess; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
