A lovely service was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. for Col. Fleischhauer from his late residence on River Street.
Bowen Holliday Post of this American legion, Traverse City, conducted part of the services. Rev. F. Dean King, Chaplin of the Post read an unbeatable record for Col. Fleischhauer for his services in the United States Army.
Rev. J. C. Mathews read a short sermon paying tribute to Col. Fleischhauer for his wonderful record as a soldier and citizen of this village.
The services at the grave were conducted by the American Legion, a salute being fired and taps blown.
