The funeral services were held on Monday, December 30, Rev. Dr. D. M. Tompkins, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Interment took place in the Belvidere cemetery. Miss Nancy Owen was born in Chatauqua county, New York, June 5th, 1826. United in early life to Allen Clark who died many years ago, they came to Boone county in 1847 and resided on a farm, later removing to Belvidere. Six sons were born to them, of whom four are living. They are, Samuel, of Millston, Wis., Seymour of Cobden, Ill, Allen, of this city and William of Chicago. In 1858 she was married to Dr. J. W.
