Born August 24, 1870, in Ohio, son of Jesse and Sarah (Boucher) Brayton, he was married November 25, 1890, to Mary Herbst, who survives.
He was a member ofthe Presbyterian Church and the Order of Railway Conductors and was a retired NKP conductor.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. R. Neal Cottingham, Charleston, Illinois; a grandson, Wiliam Cottingham, Port Huron, Michigan; and three granddaughters,
Mrs. Harold Daupert, Zionsville, Mrs. Stanely Konowitz, LaPorte, and Mrs. James Woodfall, Charleston, Illinois.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Goodwin Funeral Home here with Rev. Howard Kipp in charge.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Mausoleum.
