Following an illness of six weeks with a complication of ailments, Mrs. Marion Anderson, 71, a native of the county, a member of the second graduating class of the Frankfort High school, died at her residence, five and a half miles southwest of Frankfort at 6 o'clock yesterday morning.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. W.B. Hordeman officiating. Burial will be made in the mausoleum at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was one of the best known women in the Manson community and was active in affairs of the Manson neighborhood. She had spent practically her entire life in the vicinity of her home at the time of her death. She had resided in the smae residence, establishing her home there following her marriage to Marion Anderson on September 22, 1886. Mrs. Anderson was Mill Leary prior to her marriage, was the daughter of Ignatius and Ellen (Courtney) Leary and was born in Frankfort July 11, 1861.

As a young girl she attended the Frankfort schools; entering high school she was a member of the second graduating class, after the establishment of the upper or higher grade system in the schools, completing her local school work in the summer of 1878. Later she taught in county and city schools for six years.

She was reared in the faith of the Catholic church and was an active and interested worker in the affairs of the local church. Mrs. Anderson was held in the highest esteem by her neighbors and friends, who were legion.

She is survived by her husband, Marion Anderson; one son, Frank Anderson, living a half mile south of Jefferson; and three grandchildren, Hubert, Francis and Maurice. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Devitt and Mrs. William Berkmeyer, of this city.

One son, Charles Anderson preceded her in death four years ago.
