ELIZABETH ANN GLINES BEERS
Elizabeth Ann Glines Beers, 77, passed away November 3, 1929 at the home of her son, Milton, in North Hollywood, California. She was brought to Utah and buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery beside her husband and children November 7, 1929. At the time of her death her living posterity was 11 children, 39 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom had reason to be proud of her.
She was the second child and first daughter born to James Harvey Glines and Elizabeth Ann Meyers.
Her parents came to Utah from Iowa with the other Latter-Day Saints the year she was born and settled in Cedar Fort, February 1853.
She was a very industrious and with the help of her mother she assisted in the manufacturing of soap, carpets, rugs, bedding, clothing and other articles needed in the home. She was active in school and church activities and her cousin, Dr. George H. Brimhall said he thought she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen.
At the age of seventeen she married her school teacher, Franklin Beers of Pleasant Groves, Utah. She was naturally industrious, a true helpmeet. She managed a hotel, and a millinary shop for many years, besides giving birth and rearing and teaching her family of eleven children.
Her well-filled larder and open house were freely offered. She had not only the gift but the disposition to lift up the downcast and lighten the burdens of the weary. She was known for her beautiful hats and other equipment that were popular in those days.
In 1895 her family moved to Vernal, Utah where her father lived and she worked in the merchandizing and millinery shop there.

-Vernal Express, November 7, 1929
There appears to be a discrepancy where Elizabeth was born, Harris Grove or Coucil Bluffs. Most sources say Council Bluffs, Iowa. After some searcing I found they are neighboring towns. Harris Grove was an early Mormon settlement, 28 miles northeast of Kanesville (Council Bluffs).
