Dr Charles Frederick Weigle
Birth: 1871
Tippecanoe County
Indiana, USA
Death: Dec. 3, 1966
Hamilton County
Tennessee, USA

The author of the Christian hymn, No One Ever Cared for Me Like Jesus, Dr. Charles Frederick Weigle spent the last years of his life as a guest of Tennessee Temple Schools and Highland Park Baptist Church. When he was young he was a personal friend of George Sebring who developed Sebring Florida and Sebring Ohio. Weigle Avenue in Sebring Florida is named in his honor. His most famous hymn was written at a time of great personal tragedy, his first wife left him because she was from a wealthy family and he was an itinerant evangelist. He is buried next to his second wife Carrie Weigle who died a few years before Dr. Weigle went home to be with the Lord, his Lord, his Savior, Jesus Christ.

I didn't get to meet Dr Weigle having gotten to Tennessee Temple in 1968. I would have loved to hear his messages and his singing.
