AHO, Shelene' Jean passed away May 23, 2007. She was born to Jim and Donna Golden on June 28, 1966, in Kittery, Maine. She graduated from Desert High School on Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., in 1984. Later on she continued her education and received her nursing degree from Career Care Institute in Lancaster California, with plans to continue on and get her RN license.
She loved people, as was evidenced by the career field that she chose, always putting the needs of those she served first. She met her husband Roger Aho on April 11, 2001, at Base Lodging at Edwards and they married on October 30, 2004. Shele' had a smile that lit up any room that she walked into and was the life of every conversation and gathering. She knew how to live, and live she did, whether it was in hiking, going to the beach, canoeing, photography or a good game of cards or scrabble, she enjoyed her life immensely. Her joy was wrapped up in her family and she loved generously, always looking for the good in people.
She was patriotic in every sense of the word and was proud to be an American. She loved music in every form and it was not unusual for her to dance in the car singing with a favorite song.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Lucille Hodges and James W. Golden.
Shele', your spark, vitality and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know you and call you family or friend.
