John A. Faust of 506 4th St., died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Mercy Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Hopewell Aug. 20, 1893, a son of Frank and Susanne (Bollman) Faust, and married Mary E. Frederick.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Harold, and stepson, George Frederick, of the city; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Beck of Adamstown and Miss Clara, at home; 14 grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Smith of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Wilmer Steffy of Lancaster and Mrs. Martha Neff of the city.
He retired as a boilermaker helper from the Altoona Works in 1954.
