ROCK ISLAND _ LeRoy W. Galloway, 71, of Rock Island, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1992, at home following an extended illness.

He was born May 13, 1921, to George W. and Flora E. (Cox) Galloway near Cane Hill, Ark. He was educated at Morrow, Ark.

Mr. Galloway married Maxine Weaver on Dec. 13, 1945 at Chelan.

He was a member of the AFL-CIO and worked at some phase of construction on every dam on the Columbia River. He was a hard-rock driller by trade. He also worked on both Bacon Siphon tunnels at Coulee City.

He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church at East Wenatchee.

Survivors include his wife, at home; four sons, Jim, Jody, and Dale Galloway, all of Wenatchee and Gary Galloway of Tacoma; two daughters, Susan Sanders and Darlene Dawn Fulwiler, both of Wenatchee; a brother, Harold Galloway of Cane Hill; a sister, Florean Pennel of Cane Hill; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Hanson of Ephrata; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Betts Funeral Home at Wenatchee.
