Myrtle Henderson, 79, 908 N. H. St., died Thursday at Reid Memorial Hospital.
A Loogootee native, she lived in Richmond most of her life and was the widow of Frank Henderson. She was a member of the Christian Church at Loogootee.
Survivors include one daughter, Lillian Marie Rogers of Richmond; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Fred Hotz of Loogootee, and one sister, Julia Nicks of Odessa, Texas.
Private services for Mrs. Henderson will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Riggle-Waltermann Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Blose officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at Centerville. There will be no public calling.

Myrtle Hotz was born in Loogootee, Indiana, on 3 Feb 1901, the tenth child of John Michael Hotz and Mariah Rogers Hotz. Her siblings were: Flora Elizabeth, Amanda Jane, George, Kizzie, Adam, Julia Mae, Homer, Carl, Fred, and Leva Grace. She moved to Richmond, Indiana, in her late teens and married Frank Dorricott in Wayne County on 31 Mar 1919. He died in August of 1919.
On 28 Sep 1920, Myrtle married Frank Robert Henderson in Wayne County. They had two daughters: Lillian Marie and Leva Gracie Edith.
Myrtle made much of her living crocheting and quilting. She also worked as a cook in a restaurant run by one of her friends.
Myrtle died on 26 Jun 1980 in Reid Hospital in Richmond.
