John A. Parmenter was a physician and practiced in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended Cotner College in Lincoln and received his Medical Degree from Creighton University in Omaha in 1906. His first practice was in Morse Bluff, Nebraska. In 1915 he relocated his practice to Lincoln, Nebraska. Early in 1919 he was a victim of the great the influenza epidemic of 1918-1919 and was buried in the Pleasant View Cemetery, which is located a few miles northwest of Yutan
