William E. Lightner
William E. Lightner, 44, Rushville, died Friday at Major Hospital.
Born on Sept. 21, 1953, in Rushville, he was the son of Chester and Marjorie (Hatfield) Lightner.
On July 27, 1995, he married Linda (Newman) Lightner, and she survives.
Mr. Lightner lived most of his life in Rushville. He had been a truck driver for nearly 20 years, most recently with M&M Trucking, St. Paul.
He was a member of the Professional Truck Driver's Association for nearly 20 years. He also served in the Indiana National Guard.
Survivors also include a son, Jordan Lightner, Rushville; two daughters, Mrs. Chris (Billie Jean) Harris, and Amy Lightner, both of Manilla; a stepson, Paul Foreman, Rushville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. James (Jenny) Isaac, Rushville; his mother, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Dye; three brothers; Richard Lightner, Bessemer City, N.C., and Robert Lightner and Dickie Lightner, both of Rushville; four sisters, Mrs. Carrol (Linda) Woods, Rushville, Mrs. Paul (Susie) Cheek, Arlington, Mrs. Rex (Brenda) Jones, Lewisville, and Mrs. Glen (Jackie) Duke, Homer; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Moster & Cox Mortuary, Rushville.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary with the Rev. Kenneth Bates officiating. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery, Rushville.
