Lawrence "Larry" Dean Grizzell, 52, of Gum Spring, Virginia formerly of Connersville, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007. He was born May 24, 1955 in Rushville, one of two sons of Everett and Marie Bradley Grizzell and lived most of his life in the Rushville and Connersville communities.
He attended school in Rushville including his junior year in high school and moved to Connersville, graduating from Connersville High School in 1973. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Armored Division as a tank driver, where he was stationed in Germany for 18 months and was honorably discharged in 1979.
Employed primarily as a carpenter most of his adult life, he worked in the Wilmington, North Carolina area for several years and throughout the South Eastern United States. His hobbies included assisting his brother in a family business of the raising and care of Egyptian Arabian horses and in raising cattle.
Survivors include: a daughter, Crystal Grizzell of Indiana; one brother: Richard E. Grizzell and wife Susan of Richmond, Virginia; one nephew: Kyle Grizzell of Savannah, Georgia; one niece: Jessie Grizzell of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
