Gary Lee Edmiston, 48, of 27 High Street, Clarendon, died suddenly at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Aug 31, 1984, at Warren General Hospital, after being stricken at work. He was born in Clarendon, Aug 31, 1936, a son of Foster and Dorothy Kemmer Edmiston, Tiona, PA.
He had lived in the Clarendon area all his life. He was employed as a welder at the M&D Supply Co., Clarendon. He was a member of the Tiona United Methodist Church. He had been a member of the Irvine Rod & Gun Club during its existence. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving besides his parent are his wife, Helen Janiec Edmiston; three sons, Guy Edmiston of Jacksonville Naval Center, FL; Mark Edmiston with the Air Force in West Germany; and Christopher Edmiston, at home. A daughter, Tracey Edmiston, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, a granddaughter, Kimberly Edmiston; five brothers, Emory Edmiston, Lantz Corners, PA; Edwin Edmiston, Stoneham, PA; Leon Edmiston, Sheffield; Danny Edmiston, Tiona, PA; and Gregory Edmiston, Erie, PA; a sister, Mrs. Lynda McHenry, Strattanville, PA; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Borden-Vincent Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9, Sunday. A funeral service will he held there at 1:30 p.m., Monday with the Rev. Tim Maybray of the Tiona Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
