"Martha Elizabeth "Libby" Sargent, age 76 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
"Funeral services [were held] April 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment ... in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Steve Baker officiate[d].
"Mrs. Sargent was born August 23, 1935 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Pat Flanagan and Alma Ransom Flanagan. She retired from Hall County Board of Education where she worked at North Hall High School as a custodian for 20 years. Libby was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Sargent, her son, Richard Sargent and her great-grandson, Skye Sargent.
