He was the brother of Adeline Bunker Rose. His wife's name was Irma. The following information supplied by the Bloomington Historical Society: Albert served in the Dakota War of 1862, Co A Capt Joseph Anderson's Co., Mounted Men "Cullen Guards". He mustered in on Aug 22, 1862 shortly after the Battle of Redwood Ferry. He participated in the Battle of Birch Coulee and was wounded in both arms.
