Mr. Hynes was a long time farmer in Gaines Township, being well known and highly respected. He retired 23 years ago, at which time he and Mrs. Hynes removed into Durand and took up their residence. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Holy Name Society.
He is survied by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Sally Anne Rhode, of Grand Rapids; Mary Elizabeth Blust of East Tawas; three sons, Raymond, Carl and John Hynes, of Detroit. There are three sisters, Margaret Ann Cooney, of Durand; Katherine Hynes, of Gaines; Mary Elizabeth Eisentrager, of Swartz Creek.
