Bailey Enoch Daugherty was born on February 28, 1900 in Bexar county, Texas to parents Henry Lee and Rebecca R. Coleman Daugherty. At the age of 10 his family moved to Austin, Travis, County, Texas. He went to school in South East Travis county grew up and at the age of 18 married Sarah Linnie Pichot. Twin sons were born to them in 1921 and 6 years later a son and 8 years later a daughter. He served in the Navy Seabees during WWII. He was a carpenter and in 1955 he moved to California where he helped to build Disney Land Park. He lived in Long Beach California and later moved to Lynnwood, Washington and in his retirment years worked with the Von Nassau Kennels who raised the best breed of Champion German Shepherds in the United States. Bailey worked as long as his health would allow and died at the age of 79 and is buried in Washington State.
