Imogene Cox, 69, of Rockwood, TN, passed away July 16, 2002. Funeral services were conducted July 17 from the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, with Bro. Bob Holder officiating. Graveside services and interment were held July 18 in Millstone Cemetery in Cumberland County.
Mrs. Cox was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Cumberland County, the daughter of James Lenard and Stella Mae Green Kendrick.
She was a cook at Hardee's, a former nurse's aide at Johnson Health Care Center, and a member of Daysville Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Edward Buchannon of Clinton, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Mike Morgan of Lebanon, TN, and Pat and David Clifton of Rockwood; stepchildren and their spouses, Kathi and Jack Webb of Crossville and Eddie and Carla Cox of Rockwood; sisters and brother-in-law, Marie Carter of Rockwood and Eunice and Clayton Henry of Oberlin, OH; grandchildren and their spouses, Trent Buchannon, Crissy Therman, Michael Johnson, Bonnie Marie and Johnny Crowder, Michael Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Michelle and Troy Kelley, Mike Clifton, Josh Webb, Shasta Webb, Jacob Webb, Chevis Cox and Selby Cox; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Obie Kendrick, Lawton Kendrick, Clenice Kendrick and Glen Kendrick; and daughter-in-law, Karen Buchannon.
Evans Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
