David S. Barrick, a former resident of Carroll township, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Spease, in Duncannon, on last Thursday. He was 80 years old.
Mr. Barrick is survived by ten children: Mrs. R I Shultz, Mrs. Philip Bornman, Mrs. John Rumbaugh, Mrs. Elizabeth Spease and John Barrick, all of Duncannon; William E. Barrick of Dellville; Melvin Barrick of Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Emma Hickman of Milford, Del.; G. C. Barrick and Guy Barrick, of Shermansdale; one sister Mrs. Ellen Campbell of Summerdale; thirty-nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
The deceased was an honest, industrious man and was highly respected by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon in the Reformed Church, Duncannon, conducted by the Rev Charles R. Hartman, and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.
