Murder Victim. Shawnda was last seen along Pacific Highway South near S144th. It took nearly a month before she was reported as missing. Her remains were found ten months later. Shawnda was found just north of Sea-Tac airport. She was seventeen years old at the time of her disappearance. She was a murder victim of Gary Leon Ridgway, known as "The Green River Killer" who was responsible for the murders of 49 women in Seattle, Washington, between 1982 and 1984. He confessed to Shawnda's murder in 2003.
