Harley Paige Binkley-Bowen
Birth: Nov. 16, 2003
Death: Nov. 16, 2003

Harley Paige was due on Feb. 14, 2004. I know she had to be eager to meet us because she decided she couldn't wait any longer and was born on Nov. 16, 2003. She passed away in her grandmothers loving arms while I was in surgery. Both of us fighting for our lives. She will be 7 this yr. I can only imagine what she would look like. Would she look like me? Would she have my eyes and her daddy's dimples? The only thing I know for sure is she lives in my heart and my love for her will always be. She's a blessing and I'm thankful God shared her with me but if only for a short while...

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.
Helen Keller

"These are my footprints,
so perfect and so small.
These tiny footprints
never touched the ground at all.
Not one tiny footprint,
for now I have wings.
These tiny footprints were meant
for other things.
You will hear my tiny footprints,
in the patter of the rain.
Gentle drops like angel's tears,
of joy and not from pain.
You will see my tiny footprints,
in each butterflies' lazy dance.
I'll let you know I'm with you,
if you just give me the chance.
You will see my tiny footprints,
in the rustle of the leaves.
I will whisper names into the wind,
and call each one that grieves.
Most of all, these tiny footprints,
are found on Mommy's heart.
'Cause even though I'm gone now,
We'll never truly part."

The Cord

By Unknown Author

We are connected,
My child and I, by
An invisible cord
Not seen by the eye.

It's not like the cord
That connects us 'til birth
This cord can't been seen
By any on Earth.

This cord does it's work
Right from the start.
It binds us together
Attached to my heart.

I know that it's there
Though no one can see
The invisible cord
From my child to me.

The strength of this cord
Is hard to describe.
It can't be destroyed
It can't be denied.

It's stronger than any cord
Man could create
It withstands the test
Can hold any weight.

And though you are gone,
Though you're not here with me,
The cord is still there
But no one can see.

It pulls at my heart
I am bruised...I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline
As never before.

I am thankful that God
Connects us this way
A mother and child
Death can't take it away!

Harley,
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I miss you so much. I love you with all my heart. I know that I'll see you again one day. You live in my heart and will never be forgotten.
