Helen was one of 8 surviving children of Henry, Sr and Mary Harich who were both immigrants from Austria. Helen's brothers are Arther Herrick(he changed his last name), John, Henry Jr., Adolph and Bill. Her sisters are Anne(Langer) and Wilhelmina(Bergh). Helen married Marc Chouinard in 1938 and they had two children, Madelyn(Grabowenski) and David.
