Donald was born in Battle Creek, MI to Allen and Alice Anne Williams; he grew up and graduated from High School in Olivet, MI. Shortly after graduating he purchased a farm in Bellevue, which he continued to operate with his wife and children until his death; he was always pleased to say it was "truly a family farm."
Donald was a member of Ainger Bible Church in Olivet, MI where he served as a board member, a Sunday school teacher, and a children's ministry team member. His love of children and animals drew him to serve as a 4-H leader and Hog Superintendent for Eaton County for the last twenty years. A job he thoroughly enjoyed. He is best remembered for his sense of humor, hard work ethics, love of music, and his love of farm and children, and above all his love for His Lord. He made a friend wherever he went; no one was a stranger, but for a minute.
