Mrs. Ethel L. Null, 63, of 824 12 S. Main St., died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. She was hospitalized for 12 weeks. Mrs. Null had lived in Belvidere for 38 years and previously lived in Garden Prairie and Byron areas. She was born in Byron on Sept. 5, 1905, daughter of Charles and Bertha McNeal Baylor, Her marriage to Earl Null took place in Oregon on April 4, 1923. Mrs. Null was a member of First Baptist Church of Byron. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Bertha Smale, Byron; three daughters, Mrs. Ileane Haase, Abilene, Texas, Mrs. Helen Remily and Mrs. Mardelle McElroy, Belvidere; two sons, Robert and Earl, Belvidere; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Evans, and Mrs. Belle Liddell, Byron; one brother, Lyle Baylor, Geneseo; 25 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Null died in 1961. Her father, one daughter, two brothers and one grandchild also preceded Mrs. Null in death.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church in Byron and burial will be in Byron Cemetery.
Friends may call at Buck Wheeler Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
